Pincecrest, CA January 2009

A couple of weeks ago, we took the kids to the snow at Pinecrest Lake. I know for many of you it sounds weird saying, "We went to the snow" since the snow comes to you, but that's the way it is for us valley-dwellers. As utterly dry as this winter has been for California, we are just lucky there was any snow for us at all.

Here is Abbey going down a sled run very, very fast. What you don't know is that she is just about to hit a large bump and go flying into the air! the crowd on the hill all gave a collective gasp as it happened. All I could think was, "Please God, let nothing be broken."
Here is Abbey after her big crash. She still has a few tears on her cheeks, but she recovered quickly and was ready to go back down the hill. She really is a thrill-seeker.
Here is Abbey going down a much slower hill, but she's still having fun.

Abbey and Isaac - this was Isaac's first time in snow.

Abbey was having a great time dropping snow on her brother.

December 2008

Here are some pictures of the kids taken around Christmas time. I had a whole month off and enjoyed all of the extra time home with the kids. Today (Jan. 20) was my first day back to work. I asked Abbey what the best part of her day was today, and she said, "When you came home." Talk about making it hard for me to go to work tomorrow. . .

This is Abbey in front of our Christmas tree.
This is Abbey with the famous penguin that came home with us from Pennsylvania. Does this look familiar Oma and Dave? :-)
Here's Isaac, tackling his lamb chair. He is hard to take pictures of because he's always on the move.
Abbey and Isaac love each other so much. They have the best time playing together!
A happy little boy!
Abbey was Mary in our church's nativity scene as part of the children's Christmas service. that is her friend, Ellie as the angel.
Here is the whole gang in the nativity scene.

"How you doin'?"

This is a picture of me and Dan on our Anniversary, which was on November 25. We have been married 8 years.
